Matte versus glossy is a real trade-off, not just a spec sheet line: the matte finish here trades a small amount of edge sharpness for meaningfully less glare when the sun hits the display at a low angle, which matters more on a car where climate and navigation controls live entirely on the touchscreen. Before you buy: confirm which Model Y you actually have

Here's the part new owners miss: "2025 Model Y" doesn't automatically mean Juniper. Tesla sold down the previous-generation Model Y in some regions well into 2025 before Juniper fully took over production, so a car delivered in 2025 could be either generation.
