Performance means something different on an EV. Power is set in software, so the real levers are tires, wheels and suspension — and tires matter more here than almost anywhere else, because rolling resistance directly changes range while pack weight changes the load rating you need. An EV-specific tire is a genuine category rather than marketing: reinforced sidewalls for battery weight, low rolling resistance for range, and quieter compounds because there is no engine noise to mask road roar.
